Exhibition Egypt – Gift of the Nile

The Nile River was, for thousands of years, a source of life, prosperity, and cultural flourishing in ancient Egypt. Its regular floods brought fertile soil, enabling the rise of one of the most significant civilizations in human history. For this reason, the ancient Egyptians referred to their land as the "Gift of the Nile."
Egypt captivated me with its grandeur, art, and unique historical monuments
The exhibition Egypt – Gift of the Nile presents a selection of replica historical artifacts from the private collection of Ján Hertlík, offering insight into the world of ancient Egyptian civilization—its religion, funerary practices, art, and everyday life. Visitors will encounter representations of iconic objects such as statues of deities, funerary equipment, amulets, and other artifacts that played an important role in the spiritual and social life of the ancient Egyptians.
The replicas on display make it possible to bring the aesthetics and symbolism of ancient Egyptian culture closer to a wide audience, while offering a unique glimpse into the fascinating world of a civilization that shaped the development of art and thought for millennia.
