Exhibition of Christmas decorations

Christmas decorations and traditions are very close to my heart. Through this exhibition, I would like to share their charm, beauty, and festive atmosphere

The collection presents the history of individual traditions – from the legendary Saint Nicholas and his transformation into Santa Claus, through the origin of glass ornaments in Germany, to Advent calendars, which have been making the wait for Christmas Eve more enjoyable for over a century.

The exhibition allows visitors to experience the charm of Advent and the festive season, discover its traditions, and admire the aesthetic beauty and craftsmanship of Christmas decorations from both the past and the present.

• Statues of Saint Nicholas and Santa Claus – from the legendary Saint Nicholas to the modern Santa Claus

• Nutcrackers – traditional wooden figures used for cracking nuts

• Glass Christmas ornaments – from the earliest simple balls to richly decorated designs

• Paper Advent calendars – various types, both historical and modern, including tabletop and fold-out versions

• Fold-out tabletop nativity scenes – detailed depictions of the birth of Jesus

• Kraków nativity scenes – traditional Polish nativity scenes

• Christmas postcards – both historical and contemporary designs

The Christmas decoration exhibition is an invitation to pause during the pre-Christmas season and return to traditions that have shaped the festive atmosphere for generations. The displayed objects are not only decorations, but also witnesses of history, craftsmanship, and family customs passed down from generation to generation.
